On your desktop, right click on the recycle bin and select empty recycle bin.
When you say "concerning icon" I'm not sure what you mean. However I'm going to assume that you mean the icon has dissapeared and it just looks like a blank page instead of the recycle bin icon. This can be from manny reasons but should be able to be fixed easily. Open my computer fro the start bar, and on the side menu scroll down until you get to the recycle bin. Select it then copy it and paste it on your desktop and remove the old recycle bin.

The documents in recycle bin are 100% recoverable. All that you have to give ‘restore’ command. All the same if you delete the document from recycle bin then it can not be recovered.
