Kennedy's biggest economic legacy lies in today's misguided economic policies of the far right. Cutting high end taxes when they're at 91% is a lot different than cutting taxes at 35%. Back in JFK's era, taxes were fairly simple and straightforward. If you made a certain amount, you paid a certain amount. Today, there are so many deductions, and loopholes that the percentage of the working population that doesn't pay taxes is far and away higher than back in his time.
