Autonomic nervous system is that part of the nervous system that controls the body function that are not consciously controlled by the human brain like breathing, heartbeat, and digestive processes. Autonomic nervous system is a part of the peripheral nervous system. It works along with the somatic nervous system to regulate the body functions.
The brain generates efferent signals for the body. Efferent signals travel down the spinal cord, and out to target areas of the body. Afferent feedback signals travel back to the spinal cord, and back up to the brain for processing.
The nervous system sends a message to your brain and your brain send a message back "telling you what to do". Sending a message to your brain and your brain sending one back takes a shorter time than it does for you to blink once.
The nervous system basically works by neurons, or nerve cells. There are three different types, afferent sensory neurons, interneurons, and efferent motor neurons. The nervous system receives stimulation from the external environment or internal world (your body) and processes that information to elicit a response if necessary. There are two main parts, the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. 1.you touch. 2.nerve feel and go up to brain 3.it goes to neuron 4.it calculat 5.finish the nervous system receives, process, and acts on a stimulus .
The spinal cord.
The Nervous system consists of the following three parts: 1.Brain 2.Spinal Cord 3.Neurons
The nervous system of the body is currently not transplantable. Damaged nerves can be grafted in the hope that they will grow back together, but this is not 100% reliable and no section of the central nervous system can be replaced once lost.
The nervous system takes in sensory information from the peripheral nervous system. This information is then directed to the central nervous system which then responds with a motor reaction that travels back to the peripheral nervous system.

The gag reflex is an involuntary reflex, therefore it is an autonomic reflex. The peripheral nervous system is the part of the nervous system outside the central nervous system (which consists of the brain and spinal cord). The peripheral nervous system is split into two parts - the somatic nervous system and the autonomic system. The somatic system controls voluntary skeletal muscle movements and the autonomic system controls involuntary or automatic actions.
the nervous system works with every other system in your body
The 2 divisions of the nervous system are the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. Both systems have the main function of allowing communication from the brain to limbs and organs and back to the brain.
The nervous system hasn't a defined location, it is distributed in the entire body. Every tiny point of your skin has a nerve that sends a signal to your brain telling that you are feeling pain, heat.. The internal organs of your body also have nerves. The nervous system is constituted of two main parts : The central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system contains the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system consists of nerves, (nerves are long fibers that connect the central nervous system to every other part of the body), the motor neurons, the autonomic nervous system,(comprising the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system, and the enteric nervous system) which mediates voluntary movements.
Frog mouth functions as a trap for insects. The tongue catches the insects and brings it back into the mouth.
a dorsal is an organ that protects the nervous system.
