Tablets are not nearly powerful enough for any amount of work and they lack a great amount of security features purposely done so by the creators of the proprietary software so that they are able to get information on the user, such as geo-location. The touch-screens are not yet evolved enough for precision work and the idea of a bad battery takes away the point of the portability of the tablet.
