Your best chance is to go to Sony and send in your PSP to them. You shouldn't have to pay as long as you are under the one year warranty.

You can not say a portable is better when you are at home sitting in from of a 52 inch widescreen HDTV that you turn it off to play the Portable because it's so much more fun. They are designed to go together and it is not a choice of one or the other they are better together than either is apart.
