Well, rubber bands you get them off a month before you get your braces off. (So, for me i have to wear them for 1 year and 11 months. Fun!) And, you have remember to put them in. If you don't for one day. I would be fine. But, for a week with no bands. Then you have to wear them longer. And, for a few days your teeth WILL hurt because the bands are moving your teeth too the right place. It's a slow and a little pain (Some people don't feel it at all and other people well, it's painful.)

You only wear the neck/head gear at your home so nobody knows you have it. (Unless you tell them.) Just like the bands you have to remember to put it in. The head gear takes a shorter time then the bands. (So, you only have to wear them for a month.) And, just like the bands some people will feel pain. And, others would not feel the pain. But, there is a high possibility that you will feel pain.

My opinion is the neck/head gear is better.

How does a netgear work?

neck gear, bands (rubber bands), headgear and bigger braces all do the same thing. If you have an overbite or under bite then they make them more strait and if you have a under bite or overbite then your upper or lower teeth more develop. The only thing that is different about them is that some take long to strait your teeth and some take longer. (The head/neck gear and bigger braces take a shorter amount of time to strait your teeth and the first few day they will hurt your gums. The bands take longer but they do not hurt.) Hope i helped have fun getter whatever

What is the function of bracing?

Though uncomfortable and often painful, braces serve the purpose of straightening teeth. This process is done by a person called an orthodontist. The orthodontist specializes in everything involving braces and retainers. Most people who have braces are only subjected to them for a couple years. Head gear and rubber bands are couple of mechanisms that are used to speed up the braces process. Depending on how crooked a person's teeth are, braces can be on anywhere from one year to four years. The best way to reduce that time is to follow the orthodontist's instructions on how to maintain braces. A simple way to keep teeth healthy and happy is simply to brush and floss often. If you do this, your experience with having a metal mouth will most likely be no big deal!
