Katherine of Aragon, the first wife of Henry VIII, had several miscarriages as did Anne Boleyn though some believe that some of her miscarriages she kept a secret so the King would not know. In fact one known miscarriage was mutated and this is one of the reasons she was charged with incest with her brother George.

His first wife Katherine of Aragon gave birth to a boy, named Henry, on the 1st January 1511 but the child died around 6 weeks later. His third wife Jane Seymour then gave birth to a boy, named Edward, on the 12th October 1537. Edward survived infancy and became King Edward VI after Henry VIII's death; but his reign was brief as he died after around six years of being king aged just fifteen.
