Most likely the kidney though perhaps the liver.
the kidneys are closer to the thoracic spine (i.e. the back) than the ribs. you would be feeling the liver. unless you're feeling your back, it's very difficult to "play" with the kidneys from your anterior side.
There are no internal organs lateral to the ribs. The arms are lateral to the ribs.
The right and left hypochondriac regions are located under the ribs.
