Just as with the cold it's better to just ride it out. There are no medicine that can cure the flu. If your coughing is really bad contact your doctor if you need cough medicine that is stronger then the one over the counter (which is usually useless). Tea and honey works better then the over the counter stuff. Tylenol is what you can use for headaches and nose spray you have to read on the bottle and also ask the pharmacist for advice.
