It might do if you go into it with an open mind. Acupuncture is classed as alternative medicine, because it works on the placebo effect, not biological methods.
If that is what your doctor proscribed for you to do. If you don't take your medicine regularly, then you might as well not take it at all because the medicine only works when it is taken constantly, and regularly.
