The battery
The starter motor
the round part on top of the starter
A "Bendix drive" is the term used to describe the part of the starter motor which engages an disengages from the flywheel when cranking the engine, therefore it is part of the starter motor assembly and would be located behind the starter motor, between it and the flywheel housing.
easy as cake to find any starter motor follow the largest positive red wire from the battery, for the most part it always leads to the starter.
As with all modern starters, the Saturn starter relay is attached to and an integral part of the starter motor.
The starter solenoid, despite its name, is not part of a vehicle's ignition system. It is used to send electric current to the starter motor, engaging the engine.
As with almost ALL modern vehicles, the starter relay/solenoid is attached to and an integral part of the starter MOTOR.
What is the easiest way to replace the starter motor on a 2000 chev Venture?
This varies depending on the motor; an electric motor is quite different from a motor that operates on gasoline. In the case of the latter, the chemical energy from the gasoline gets converted into heat; then part of that heat gets converted into mechanical energy, i.e., movement. A significant part of the energy stays as heat. This varies depending on the motor; an electric motor is quite different from a motor that operates on gasoline. i believe the solenoid is part of the actual starter motor. you have to change the whole starter.
Lower part of the motor on the passenger side rear of the motor under the exaust manifold.
The solenoid/starter motor assembly is installed on the lower part of the engine next to the transmission bellhousing
