In the Battle of Five Armies
They died protecting their uncle, Thorin Oakenshield.
Ori was a Dwarf that appears in The Hobbit: Unexpected Journey. Ori usually wore a grey-hooded cloak with a Silver belt when traveling abroad. He also plays the flute. He is also, along with his brothers Dori and Nori part of Thorin Oakenshields company
It would be at the Battle of the Five Armies, almost the end of the book. He and his brother die defending their uncle Thorin Oakenshield.
Bard keeps the arkenstone and will give it back to Thorin later if he can receive part of the share
The coat of mithril is given to Bilbo Baggins. It is part of his share of the treasure and is given to him by Thorin. It was probably made for an elf child.
The Elven-king, Thranduil, who ruled the Woodland Elves (Northern part of Mirkwood Forest) put Thorin and Company in prinson. Elves and Dwarves have distrusted each other ever since the First Age (The Hobbit is set toward the end of the Third Age), so Thranduil was not kindly disposed toward Thorin's Company. Thorin further angered Thranduil by refusing to tell him either his name or his business, because Thorin didn't trust Thranduil either.
Chapter 8 is where the company is captured like flies by the spiders. All except Bilbo and Thorin, that is. Bilbo plays the part of the naughty little fly that the spiders cannot catch.
Bilbo Baggins is the real leader in The Hobbit because he does a veritety of things to make him hero like. For example: Bilbo saves the dwarves from the spiders; he goes partway down the tunnel to Smaug even though its Thorin's treasure; and he even brightens the mood when everyone is feeling down before the go after Smaug by telling them that they can do it. Bilbo is the most mature one and that's why I think he deserves the real hero and the actual leader of the quest in The Hobbit.
The Hobbit; The Desolation of Smaug will be released December 2013
