Africa
The letter A represents Africa, where it is believed that the earliest humans lived based on archaeological and anthropological evidence.
Africa Humans first evolved in Africa, and much of human evolution occurred on that continent. The fossils of early humans who lived between 6 and 2 million years ago come entirely from Africa.
The earliest humans evolved in the area in and around Ethiopia in Africa. They spread from there to the Middle East and then into Asia and Europe.
Scientists believe early modern humans originated in Africa. This theory is supported by fossil and genetic evidence that suggests humans evolved in Africa before migrating to other continents.
While it is certainly true that life diversified significantly during the Cambrian, it did not originate in the Cambrian, but roughly three billion years before that. And yes, the first populations of anatomically modern humans are thought to have emerged in Africa.
