oration of meathanol in a pipeline
One liter of methanol is about 0.8 kg. One tonne of methanol is 1000 kg. Therefore one tonne pf methanol is about 1250 liters
polarity order of ehanol methanol n-hexane and distilled water
PVC pipe is an acceptable product to use in chillers that contain glycol. You should never use galvinized pipe where glycol is used. Copper is acceptable as well.
There is no special PVC pipe. CPVC can be used for hot water applications or in my opinion just use PEX pipe.
Pipe dope better solution than tape.
You can drink ethanol. If you drink methanol, even a small amount, you will go blind.
Methanol is known as denatured alcohol. It is the most common paint thinner for shellac. Methanol is used to strip varnishes. Mineral spirits is the stripper used for painted surfaces.
They are used in liquid:liquid extractions, methanol especially. What extraction are you performing? plant extraction for antimicrobial activities and phytochemical ivestigation
ethanol is used in alcohol
Please see the link.
Yes
Methanol is used- -in paint industry -In perfumery -In aviation Fuel (blending) -to produce formeldehyde -polymers
Methanol is used as: biodiesel transesterification, fuel Cell Hydrogen Carrier, wastewater Denitrification and Transportation Fuel.
2,4-dinitrohydrazine used during the preparation is a base and may form hydrazonium ion in solution, for the removal of this methanol is used.
Actually, it's rarely used in paint, and if it is, it would be as a dryer. Methanol is, however, a basic ingredient used to cut shellac to proper weight for application. Shellac is not paint, though.
The octane rating of methanol depends on the octane rating scale measurement type used, n-Heptane is the zero point of the octane rating scale then the octane rating of methanol is 115
Meths (a.k.a methanol or methyl alcohol) can be used for fire poi. Ethanol is more common than methanol, and alcohols in general are commonly used in fire dancing with other chemicals to produce colored flames. Read the Material Safety Data Sheet prior to using methanol (or any fuel). Inhaling vapors prior to and after combustion of fuels can be hazardous to your health. Fire Mecca's Safety page is a good source for some MSDSs, include one for methanol.
