The cylinders are numbered like this.
Pass side front to back 2-4-6
Driver side 1-3-5
Number eight on a Dodge V8 engine is the passenger side rear.
Number one is the front, driver side.

No. the 1300 piston diameter is 77 mm. You would have to flycut the head to accept the larger piston piston in the 1500.. Oh..did you really mean "golf"
There would defiantly be a cylinder misfire, and rough running. Worst case the valve could hit the piston and do serious internal damage.

I talked to mechanic and he fixed 5th cylinder misfire on Dodge engine by changing chank shaft postition sensor. It came out on code reader though.
