well, turkey tends to be the leanest, but that also means that it is sometimes very dry by itself. But, you can find ground turkey in the deli section of most grocery stores, that will have about 28 grams of protein per gram of fat, which is a pretty good ratio. Ground turkey mixed with a little fat-free egg beater, and skim milk and your choice of herbs and spices can make an excellent and very nutritious turkey-patty sandwhich. However, it's best not to judge simply based on protein to fat ratio, replacing some poultry with 'fattier' fish can often be healthier. Consider salmon, it has more like 3 or 4 grams of fat per 28 grams of protein (depending on the cut) but, those grams of fat are largely Omega-3 fatty acids which are not only fat-burning fats that will help you stay lean, but they also are good for your immune and digestive health, will help you balance your hormone levels, and improve you complexion. So, if you don't mind the fishy taste, it might be worth your while to include some fish in your diet as well. Hope this helps! -Matt

meat, fish, and poultry give you protein, which you need to live (eggs also have protein). meat, fish, and poultry also have trace elements that are also necessary to survival, fish as specially; fish is brain food (literaly). if your body doesnt get protein aside from eventualy perishing your hair will also fall out. but there are suplements for protein for vegterians. as for the trace elements you can get most of them from perslane, a plant, but look it up befor using it.
