Which president helped put out a fire in the capital?

I can not find any record that any US president helped put out fires in the capital. This is not a job for any amateur, especially not a sitting president. The British burned much of the capital in 1814 including the White House, but President Madison fled the city before the British got there. Except that one time, there has never been a fire in the living area of the White House.

How can President Obama create jobs as the President?

Actually the president can not create jobs except for a few who work at the White House. He can propose that Congress create public works programs that create government jobs. He can also propose that Congress pass laws that provide financial incentives to businesses that hire new people- these may or may not work. He could ask Congress to do what FDR did- draft a half-million men into the army.

Why was the White House made where it is?

The White House was built where it is because of the Act of Congress that President George Washington signed in 1790.
