Franklin D. Roosevelt during his famous fireside chats used the power of radio air-waves in order to reach our people the American Public. His first one came eight days after the 1933 Presidential Inauguration when he ordered the re-opening of all United States Banks. He would sit at the Whitehouse in front of two people so that he could attempt or at least pretend to be in front of an audience and then he would read the prepared text. This occured every Sunday Evening at 9:00 P.M. it would begin with an announcer saying "Ladies and Gentleman the President of the United States". Hope that helped!

Did Obama say lmfao in the union state address speech?

He did not. First, I think you are referring to the "State of the Union" address. This is a formal speech, and every president must deliver one to congress. There is no evidence that President Obama ever used internet slang like 'lmao" or the more vulgar "lmfao" during such a major speech as the State of the Union address. Further, the transcripts of his State of the Union speeches do not show that he ever said this.
