You can consider art as a novelty, something unique and pleasing to the eye. Art always carries a message. It is either an impression or an expression. Art is always a product of a creative mind.
All religions use the Bible either to support the Word of God or to blaspheme the Word of God to establish a stronghold raised up against the knowledge of God.
No only Catholics. But honestly it doesn't matter if you use the rosary or not, just the relationship between you and your God. :)
You can, but it would change the meaning. Western religions are monotheistic (they believe in only One God); thus, the word "God" is a proper noun, the translated name of the Deity worshiped by Jews and Christians (Muslims too, but they refer to God by the Arabic name "Allah"). Since the western religions do not believe in any other deities, they capitalize the name God to show that this is the one and only Deity, and they do not use a definite article: to say "the god" would imply there are other gods, such as the gods and goddesses who were part of ancient Greece and Rome. So, in mythology, you will see "the god" -- as in: Zeus was king of the gods. But in the monotheistic religions, you will not see "the" or "a". You will just see the name "God," as in May God bless you and protect you.
An alter is a place of worship. Some religions sacrifice on them; some religions consider them a holy place where they can seek their god/God; some religions use them to hold items considered holy.A communion table holds the drink, representing the blood of Christ & the bread, representing the body of Christ. These are done in remembrance of Jesus & His sacrifice on the cross for mankind's sins.
