the buildings in new york are extremely high compared to the ones in dublin, all are under 7 storeys or so by planning laws, so has a much less intimidating skyline. New York is a much bigger area than Dublin and 19 times the population. One similarity is the River Liffey runs through Dublin, whereas the river Hudson runds through new york. There is no real comparison really. (Dublin doesnt have a metro...yet!...its in the pipeline though....
