It really depends on where you live to know which would be the best shingle. Dark shingles would probably be better in the hotter climates, whereas ligther color shingles would be best in the colder climate.

∙ 12y agoThis is a difficult question. Shingles come in a wide variety of styles. Once the style question is answered cost must come in to the equation. Usually the more expensive shingle will last the longest.

∙ 12y agoIt depends on the style of roof you want yours to look like. You could get new shingles, black ones are always nice looking. Or you can get roofing clay tiles gives your roof a nice looking texture and you can have your "different" rooftop then the rest of the neighborhood.
