There is no speedometer cable on a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker. The speedometer is electically driven by a speed sensor mounted on the transmission. often the contacts are just corroded and some electrical cleaner will fix it right up. Other times the sender will have to be replaced. They are available from major Auto Parts stores like NAPA, or from the dealer.
