A plastic spatula is easier to work with, turns "sunnyside" or" over easy" style eggs much better. Metal spatulas will scratch pan and eggs tend to stick to the metal, thus causing breakage.
Take a wash cloth/paper towel, dampen it, put some Mr. Clean on that sucker (the booger) And wipe away! Works like magic, a charm, what ever you want to call it. Or you could get a metal spatula, and LIGHTLY scrape at it ... I used a metal spatula, and it worked for me! If you accidently scrape off some paint, just repaint it over.
They can be either plastic, wood, or metal. Fiberglass works well also, but it is more expensive.
I would not use plastic at all since it will not withstand all climatic influences over time. If it is for a temporal hobby project, using ABS is ok, but no plastic will be durable.
