Without question, it's the MSI Wind U115 with 25 hours of battery life if you use the high-capacity battery (9 cell). Even the normal battery (6 cell) will give you more battery life than the competition at 13 hours. Nobody else comes close. Well, since Microsoft didn't wanted to charge more to have Windows on the MSI Wind U115's dual hybrid drives, the company has discontinued it, to everyone's loss.
The new battery life champion is the Toshiba NB205, with 9 hours (YMMV, depending on what you have turned on/off, screen settings, etc.). Some people have got 10 hours of continual use out of it. Not bad for a six-cell battery! I also happen to think that it's the best designed netbook under $500, with the best keyboard, best (and biggest) trackpad, and best feature set for the price ($399).
