The way this works, is as the sweat evaporates off our skin, it draws heat away from the body. In high humidity, evaporation is slower, and therefore we cool down more slowly. (in warm temperatures) So in low humidity, our bodies are better able to regulate excess heat, and keep us cooler. Also, humid air is harder for our lungs to process oxygen out of, so we get less oxygen with each breath in higher humidity.
