The three countries that have a coastline along the Red Sea are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. Egypt is located to the northwest, while Saudi Arabia borders the eastern side of the sea. Sudan lies to the southwest, making it part of the Red Sea's coastline as well.
Three other counties border county Dublin. They are Meath, Kildare and Wicklow. Dublin also has a coastline on its eastern side.
The three states that do not have ports on the Atlantic Ocean are Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky. These states are landlocked and do not have direct access to the Atlantic coastline. Instead, they are bordered by other states and rely on rivers and inland waterways for transportation.
The Confederate coastline during the Civil War was around 3,500 miles long, stretching along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. The Union coastline was approximately 3,500 miles as well, due to control of most of the eastern and western seaboards.
