The first humans in Canada probably crossed an ice bridge from Siberia. An alternate theory has them following the shore of an ice shelf from Europe. Few if any scholars place the arrival of people in North America (and hence Canada) later than ten-thousand years ago. There are no surviving records from that period to give us the name of any tribe.
