The Nile River is located on the continent of Africa and consists of two main branches (the White Nile and the Blue Nile), these merge and become one river known simply as the Nile River. The White Nile is the source of most of the Nile's water and fertile soil. The Blue Nile is the longer of the two rivers.
Part of the River Nile and the whole Suez Canal are in Egypt. They are not connected together.
The Nile has two major tributaries, the White Nile and Blue Nile. The White Nile rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source in southern Rwanda.

the white nile and the blue nile
The Nile river route is quite simple, it starts in lower Egypt, goes through most of Egypt, and then close to top it splits in to two parts: the white Nile and the blue Nile.
Although the absolute source is not readily identified, the Nile comprises two main tributaries- The White Nile and The Blue Nile. Both of these rivers meet in Khartoum the capital city of Sudan. However, some Nile related references refer to river sources in Rwanda and Burundi.
