Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) are known to reside in the Knoxville Zoo, Tennessee, Denver Zoo, Colorado, Red River Zoo, North Dakota, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Ohio, the National Zoo, Washington, D.C., and the Franklin Park Zoo, Massachusetts. There may be more, so if you wish to see one, check your local zoos.
There are currently four US zoos exhibiting pandas.
Atlanta, Memphis, San Diego, National Zoo (Washington DC)
In most zoos
They were probably imported as exhibits in zoos and wildlife parks.
No, you can not have a pet panda. Even zoos have to get special permission from China to have a panda and they are only on loan. They are an endangered animal. If you want to watch a panda go to the San Diego Zoo web cam for the panda exhibit in the zoo and you can see them. Get a stuffed panda or give a donation to the World Wild Life.
Naturally - no. But there's probably a bunch of them in Zoos and similar.
Red pandas aren't native to the US, so they can't be endangered there. Unless some have escaped, they'd only be found in zoos.
