i think its granite
Above answer is wrong! Granite is VERY hard and weathers slowly. SANDSTONE is very soft and permeable and weathers (erodes) very quickly.
Sandstone. It is the softest most absorbent "Stone" that I know of that is found in enough abundance to form large structures (Mtns, hills) that would readily exhibit erosion.
Sandstone weathers comparatively quickly.
from weathering
Rain...........
it is called weathering
A cave is formed through various natural processes such as erosion, weathering, and the dissolving of rock over long periods of time. Most caves are created in limestone, which is easily eroded by water, creating underground cavities. Volcanic caves are also formed when lava flows and cools, leaving behind a hollow space.
yes lots o times
The greatest achievement of the New Stone Age was the development of agriculture. This marked the transition from a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settled farming communities, leading to the rise of civilization and the development of complex societies. Agrarian practices allowed for increased food production, population growth, and the specialization of labor.
that would be ether sand stone or lime stone Cheers Gym_
Quartzite, a metamorphic rock, is particularly resistant to weathering.
Yes people have been put at risk due to weathering as weathering causes rocks to break away and as this happens it can be happening to Stone buildings as well which means a whole stone building could well collapse or could well fall and hit somebody.
Depends on the amount of inclusions in the stone and the current market price of emeralds overall most likely.
