What about it? There was indeed disagreement between the two since Hamilton favored a strong central government (and therefore a central banking system) and Jefferson supported distributing power to the states.
Hamiltonians or High Federalists were a faction within the Federalist Party that supported Alexander Hamilton's economic programs. Jeffersonians were a faction within the Democratic-Republican that supported Thomas Jefferson's foreign programs. Hamilton favored a strong federal government while Jefferson favored a strong state govenment.

Yes. He was against a strong federal government and he wanted the power to belong to the people. He wanted individual states to be able to make their own desicions.

If you mean Thomas Jefferson he and Adams had been friends, but their view of government was different and Jefferson felt he should have been president instead of Adams. The election got really nasty with name calling, slander, and accusations. Adams was a strong believer in a strong central government while Jefferson felt that government should have a hands off role and defer to states rights. Jefferson also thought Adams abused the office with the Alien Sedition act.
The British had a Strong National government. Alexander Hamilton want a strong National government. Hamilton and Jefferson were fighting all the time over that. That might be why. Federlists.

The Federalists wanted a strong central government and encouraged the states to ratify the Constitution. The Democratic-Republicans believed the states should retain sovereignty.
