87 PS / 86 bhp / 64 kW @ 5400 rpm is the power of the opel rekord 1965 engine and its maximum speed is 148 km/h, 92 mph.
The ower of the engine and the maximum speed of the 1972 Opel Rekord Diesel 2.1 are 60 PS and 132 km/h (82 mph) respectively.

Displacement is a measure of volume all the cylinders in one engine combined have. Power is what the complete engine assembly can produce when running.
50 cc is a displacement of a small engine, and bhp stands for brake horse power, or the maximum amount of horse power an engine puts out at its shaft, before going through reduction and transmission gears to the rear wheel.
116 HP, 250.6 cubic inch, 84 max mph (automatic trans).
In cubic inch displacement or cubic centimeter displacement or HP (horse power).
creating a greater displacement out of the stock engine block for more power
cc is the displacement of the engine. the more cc means more displacement this intern creates more power.
This question really has no answer. Displacement (liters) and horsepower are two completely different types of measurements. Displacement measures how big the engine is, and horsepower measures the power output. A bigger or smaller engine doesnt mean more or less power.
There is no standard relation between horsepower and engine displacement.
All engine power is based on piston displacment. Other factors enter in, such as compression, aspiration, exhaust gas pressure, but increasing displacement (cc's) determines the power available.
