Well a study done on who marries and stays with each sign the longest turned out like this: Each sign married, and stayed with, there own sign the most except for Scorpio, Pisces, and Leos. Scorpios and Pisces married each other. Since two Scorpios is usually too intense while two Pisces are too weak. As for Leos, there can only be one king! And they are the only sign that didn't have a "usual" marriage partner. Like you said, it goes much deeper than just sun signs obviously. Such as moon signs and mars and venus signs particularly. But evidence has proven that most signs are quite compatible with their own sign. I believe Tauruses usually married other tauruses but they also had high numbers of marriages to Libras. Both being ruled by Venus, it is not that surprising since they both love art, nature, and kindhearted people. Also, Aries sometimes married Sagittariuses. The article said this might be because of the same reason for Leos and Scorpios not particularly being best with their own signs.
