Do you have your own well? If so the pressure switch has kicked in and the pump is running. If the pressure tank is in good shape, there is usually enough residual pressure in the piping system to be suitable, but when it drops the pump kicks in and that can take a bit. Did someone flush a toilet? A toilet refilling will take water out of the system, thereby reducing the system pressure. When it's finished filling, the pressure returns to normal.
Most common cause for this is the inside of the diverter valve is plugged with sediment or bits of rust. -Take it apart carefully, lay parts in order and check inside the chamber and top orifice for junk. -Replace in opposite order once cleared.
AnswerIf you have the old style seats and washers type shower valve, the water is trying to squeeze between the seat and the washer. If it was air, it would whistle. Water hammers. Usually high pressure contributes to this effect. The only way to solve this problem is to replace your shower valve with a cartridge type shower valve. Or,reduce the pressure in your house.Or do like my wife told me to do. Our pipes in the bathroom sink have been vibrating for months now. We researched everything possible. She said " try turning up the valve a little". Guess what? it worked. Do the 'KISS' method.(Keep It Simple Stupid)

Root pressure tries to keep the water flowing but transpiration loses water from the leaves
Your bodies pressure inside your body can change itself tone equal to outside pressure
Your water pressure is low. Consequently, when cold water is diverted to another application such as a toilet or a sink, the amount of cold water available at the shower mixing valve decreases as the low pressure is unable to keep up with the shower's demand. This causes a hotter mixture at the shower head. The solution is to either improve the cold water supply to the shower or to replace the shower control valve with a temperature compensating type. Pressure balancing is the cheapest and simply changes the shower temperature according to the pressure in the cold and hot water lines. When the toilet or sink is used, reduced pressure to the shower valve is detected and the valve reduces the hot water pressure, thereby maintaining the temperature. The more sophisticated approach is a thermostatic shower control valve. These are significantly more expensive, but will not reduce the pressure at the shower head (a drawback of the pressure balancing valve). The thermostatic valve would be required when one shower control valve is operating several shower heads. Moen, Kohler and Delta all make both types of control valves. They can be readily obtained from a local plumbing supply house.

When you have a hot shower steam is generated and, because it is warmer than the surrounding air, it rises. As the steam flows upwards, cooler air flows in to the lower level of the shower. If the shower is not fully enclosed, the steam will flow out the top of the shower area and the cooler air will flow in near the base of the shower. If the air cannot easily get around the curtain, it will push it inwards as it flows past. Ways to address this are:fully enclosing the shower to keep the steam inweighting the curtain basehaving significant gaps beside the curtain to let air inhanging the curtain so it is held against the shower base lip by its own weight by positioning the rail well outside (>100mm beyond) the line of the base. (This will mean that if the curtain swings outside the shower base it will drip on the floor, so needs a high lip to hold the curtain in.)This effect is caused by a small reduction in the air pressure of the column of air that is inside the shower curtain. The reduction is caused by the pressure of the water being sprayed out of the shower head having to drop from a higher pressure towards normal atmospheric air pressure. This effect is known as the Venturi Effect. The air does not quite reach normal atmospheric pressure until it gets out of the column of air formed by the shower curtain. Because that column of air is at a lower pressure than the air outside the curtain, the curtain gets pressed inwards by the higher (but normal) air pressure in the rest of the room. This effect happens the same no matter if the water temperature is hot, medium or cold.

Wells are actually electric pumps that supply the water pressure to a home's water. When a faucet is opened, the pressure drops, activating a sensor which starts the pump to maintain pressure. So only if there is no one inside (or out) using water and the pump is cycling is that a problem, and indicates a ruptured pipe.
A shower curtain is hung up on a rod in between two walls to keep water in the shower and out of the floor when showering. The most effective shower curtains are a type of plastic.
A shower curtain is something that you hang in your bathtub or shower enclosure, to keep the water from getting all over the floor, when you shower. A plastic shower curtain is a shower curtain made from plastic. I think most of them are made from vinyl, actually.
