Whistler 1665 radar detector it lights up and detects but doesn't beep how do I get it to beep?

Hi Bought the same model detector with no sound at all. I open the case to find the wires to the speaker where poorly connected. The model I purchased where completely disconnected I re-soldered a new speaker and fixed the problem.
