I am assuming that the mower doesn't start.... My first guess would be that you are not getting spark to ignite the gas in the engine. Check to see if you have spark at the spark plug.
On a Kohler engine there is usually a drian plug on the left side of the engine (drivers side) near the rear of the engine. It is right in front of the oil filter. The oil filter base has a small plug in it that you will need to remove also to drain the filter base after you remove the oil filter.
Many riding mower don't have oil filters. If your's does it is on the side of the engine toward the bottom and probably on the left side as you sit on the mower.
It could be several things . The carb is not getting enough fuel or the ignition is shorting out when the engine gets hot . The fuel filter is plugged , the air filter is plugged .
I need to know the engine size not the mower number to give you a definite answer. All B&S push mowers for the most part do not have an oil filter. All riding mowers with a B&S engine have an oil filter.
Slide the clamps down. pull the fuel filter off the hoses. Put the new one on. And look for for the arrow on the side of the fuel filter. The arrow is to show you which way the fuel is going. It comes from the fuel tank, and goes TO the engine. Point the arrow going to the engine.
The battery size depends on the size of the engine. The larger the engine size the more cranking amps are required. A small 12.5 HP will only require around 190 amps while a 22HP will require closer to 360 amps.
Any inline fuel filter will work.
Check the belt and if it isn't that, it could be the PTO. That's under the engine with two wires coming out of it. It will be in route with your blade belt
Absolutely Awesome...coming from an addict.
The book says for opposed engines without oil filter, it's approximately 1 & 1/2 quarts. If it does have an oil filter, then it's approximately 1 & 3/4 quarts.
You do not clean it, you replace it with a new one.
