We have had many great Presidents and many bad ones as well. So it is difficult to tell who truly deserves the rank of “the greatest President” but I will try without much bias.
First off, Harry S. Truman was a fantastic and definitely underrated President.
Truman became President when Franklin D. Roosevelt suddenly died. He served two terms in the U.S Senate representing Missouri and after that a few months as VP.
Truman helped improve the economy though it was nothing like Eisenhower, Kennedy, Trump or Reagan. It was still improvements to a war rocked nation. Speaking of war Truman helped win and end World War Two. Though Germany was mainly defeated by President Franklin Roosevelt he finished the job with the aid of the Soviet Union. Truman’s decision to drop the atomic bomb was the tough but right decision. Though Truman did declare war in Korea is was probably the right thing and the US would get uninvolved soon after.
Truman also had an 88 approval rating the highest approval rating of any president! Finally, Truman was an admirable guy and smart man. He is heavily underrated with FDR and Eisenhower right before and after but still was a great President.
George Washington of course, he was the only president who was not a politician.
A talented President
This is a matter of opinion, but in a recent poll, Abraham Lincoln was said to be the greatest president ever.
