Generally, Community Assistants approve and edit category descriptions. If you see a category without a description, you can e-mail your suggested category description to categories @ wikianswers.com (no spaces). In the subject line please specify your username and the number of category descriptions included in your e-mail.
When you submit a category description, it is emailed to a WikiAnswers Community Assistant who reviews and edits it. Most descriptions will be live on the site within a week of submitting them. Users who submit 50 category descriptions receive a "green thumb" badge on their bio page. For more on Community Assistants and badges, see the related links.
A user had to write 50 category descriptions to earn the Green Thumb badge.
A question should not remain in the unanswered category after it has been answered. If the answer has to be approved, the question will stay in the category until a moderator approves the answer.

Yes, there is a box on the right, somewhat at the bottom where there are contributions for each section such as edits, answers etc., click on one of the names or click the big green words itself (edits, answers, organization etc.).
One quick way to find categories that need descriptions is to look at the list of recently created categories. Go to your blue toolbar on the left hand side of the screen and click "Browse Categories." On the right side of the screen will be a list of categories recently created, most of which probably don't have descriptions yet. Otherwise, visit each category page and look at the top to see if a category is needed. Remember, if you submit 50 category descriptions you get a "Green Thumb" badge on your bio page!
You do not receive a contribution because your category descriptions count toward a Green Thumb badge. Once you have 50 category suggestions you will receive a Green Thumb badge.
You can email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (remove spaces) and ask. There is no other way.
All categories on WikiAnswers must have descriptions. Category descriptions help clarify what exactly exists in a category. There is no strict format to them but usually are 2-3 sentences and include a definition of the topic, extra detail and what is included in the category. If you see a description that needs editing or you would like to request a new category and description, please fill out the form located on the main Browse Categories page in the lower right corner. See related links to go to the page.
Rather than look at the criteria for deletion, the selection process is more important. A category is not approved to become a category unless it has a specific number of questions that need a home-- usually several hundred or more questions. A Community Advisor reviews category suggestions and approves or declines it. Some are held back for future use. However, once a category is created, it is here to stay.
You can only do it if you have Everybody Edits cheat engine, but maybe if you're lucky, your Everybody Edits profile could glitch somehow.
