Answer It really should be "Anglican Christians" not "Christian Anglicans" as all Anglicans would say they are Christian but not all Christians are Anglican e.g. Catholics, Orthodox and Methodists are Christians by not Anglican. Anglicans are part of a worldwide group which see the Archbishop of Canterbury as spiritual leader (though he is not like the pope). In some places they are called Episcopalians e.g. Scotland, South America and US. Anglicans are not just people in the Church of England. Answer The Anglican Church is the Church of England.

Although it sounds simplistic, you'd have to say 'Christian Anglicans' would be people belonging to an Anglican church who identify Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Not simplistic at all. It highlights the observations made elsewhere that membership in the Christian Church at large is more complex than meets the eye. Some will make the distinction above that there are Anglicans, and there are Anglicans who are Christian; the groups are not necessarily identical. It depends on who is answering, and how they define Christian.

Gosh, I hope so! As an Anglican and someone now training for ordained ministry, I regard myself as a Christian. Anglicanism is one denomination among many in the Christian Church and holds identical basic beliefs as the rest of the Christian Church, including the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, the Communion of Saints, the divinity of Christ, regards The Bible as God's inspired word, and worships the Trinitarian God - three persons in one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. Therefore its beliefs are the same as the Roman Catholic Church, Methodists, Baptists and so on. There are slight differences (eg Anglicans practice infant baptism by sprinkling with water whereas Baptists practise adult baptism by full immersion) but these tend to be very minor. As Anglicans hold the main beliefs of the Christian faith in the same way as all other Christian denominations they can be regarded as a mainstream Christian Church.
