The myth goes that Romulus and Remis, brothers, built two cities and they built walls between them to seperate the cities. They argued over who's city the gods would favor. Remus got angy at Romulus and got over Romulus's wall where Romulus then killed Remus. Thus the city was named after Romulus, Rome.
