∙ 15y agoI know I personally really like Alternative Country, which, as far as I'm concered is just as much folk as anything. I enjoy artists like Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams, Peter Keane, Bob Dylan, Justin Townes Earle.. There are COUNTLESS others, here is a list of albums I like by the above artists: Ryan Adams- Heartbreaker Heartbreaker has a little bit of everything for everyone. My favorites include To Be Young, Winding Wheel, Come Pick Me Up Ryan Adams- Love Is Hell This album is a mixed bag. Orginally released as two EPs, they were eventually released as one full length LP. Highlights include English Girls Approximately, House Is Not For Sale, Hotel Chelsea Nights Bob Dylan- Blood On the Tracks One of Dylan's most coherent and calmly forceful albums. This album is absolutely incredible. Anyone new to Dylan, really ought to start here and then go backwards. Bob Dylan- Have Mercy Dylan's first collaboration with producer Daniel Lanois. Gave Dylan a while new sound. I personally love this album. Highlights include Ring Them Bells, Most of the Time, Everything Is Broken.
