The Brothers Grimm's 'Tom Thumb,' consists of two separate stories, which were originally called 'Thumbling,' and 'Thumbling's Travels.' In the main story, Tom's parents are probably the best people in the story. They take very good care of their son. In 'Thumbling's Travels,' there are really no villains. Even, the sentries, who Tom diverted to help some friendly robbers he met along the way, are only doing their job and are not bad people.
