What is the meaning of the Sanskrit term Pithru Mokshakan?

This is a Sanskrit word Tamilized/Malayalamized. This is the term which means one who gives release to the manes. As per the Dharma Shastras/Smritis, The dead people in a family are to be sent with properly coducted post death rituals for which a son born to the person is the most eligible. This involves performance of the 13-day ceremonies, by the son(eldest, if more tha one are there). This gives the pitR^is the "right" to travel to the pitR^iloka where they await "judgment" on whether to be despatched to naraka(Hell) or swarga(heaven). The rituals convert the status of the "preta"(the ethereal body) to "pitR^i"(the astral body) so that they could cross the vaitaraNI( a foul smelling river into which "helpless" atmas(actually their [karma-shariras] may fall into. The son's faithfully performing the rituals is supposed to help the karma-sharira of the deceased to move over and cross the vaitaraNI.Further on after the Atma(karmasharira) reaches the pitR6i waiting room where it stays for an earth year, moves into the respective loka as the case may be. All the shraddham rituals and the tarpanams done for the manes(pitR^is) will aid them in moving further up the ladder of "evolution" to return back to earth after finishing their trysts with the adho-lokas and the swar-lokas. The length of stay in each of the lokas depends on the pApa-puNya of the individual "soul" aided by the son's efforts to get better placements for his parents and grand-parents etc. thus it is the Son who by his actions serves to liberate each soul form one level to another. Those who do not have sons or worse still who do not perform their ordained duties to their departed elders, they have no choice other than top move on their own and if they haven't done necessary good deeds while living will fall into the vaitaraNI or go into pitR6iloka without special passes. They will be helped by the random sarva pitR^i tarpanams or gayA shraaddha piNDams.

When was Vishnu born?

Unlike Lord Shiva who is considered to be an incarnation of Rudra (Supreme Power, Supreme God, Energy), Vishnu is thought to have been produced by Shiva. Nobody knows as to where Shiva came from and who his parents were but through his internal energy Lord Shiva gave birth to Vishnu who then produced Bhrama. For creation of human kind, Shiva asked Vishnu to first produce the most important object to make mankind possible which was water. Vishnu produced water through his body and lots of water which is why we find him resting in water on Sheshnaag. Through his naval a lotus grew up and a seed inside gave birth to Lord Bhrama, who traveled and traveled for numerous years inside its stem to find the truth and his originator but could not find one. Finally Lord Vishnu appeared before him and asked him to make life possible in the form of different lokas (planets). This is why Lord Bhrama is always found sitting on a lotus. Bhrama then created Bhramand and different Lokas inside it, one of which is mrityu loka better known as Earth. He then produced Prajapatis from his body for them to further begin life on earth. Prajapatis had major role in originating various other planets and satellites indispensable for mankind. Lord Bhrama became Creator, Lord Vishnu the Preserver, and Lord Shiva the Destroyer. In today's world also this is happening but Lords do not come before any human beings. Ans: When soul attached with desire to do somthing on the earth than Vishnu born means any kind of life takes place like Human , animal or tree. Vishnu means Body, soul and desire call Vishnu.

How the world began in Hinduism?

Various stories are told in Hinduism about the origin of the world. But then no Hindu will contradict the Geeta. Lord Krishna says that all the 'Lokas' (places) of various Gods till Brahmaloka are recurring. So when you go there you come back to take rebirth. When you go to him you never come back. (8/16) (That makes him Mister infinite.) Each day of Brahma is of one thousand 'chaturyuga' and night is also of one thousand 'chaturyuga'. ( This chaturyuga is a long period and is defined else where in other Hindu scriptures.) (8/17). All the living and non living things arise from no where at the beginning of the day of Brahma. At the end of the day of Brahma they all disappear into no where. (8/18) This living and non living things are repeatedly disappear at the beginning of the night and repeatedly come into existence at the beginning of the day. (8/19) So according to Hinduism the world begins and ends repeatedly and the phenomena is recurring.
