Who were the people of ancient Midian and do their descendants survive until today?

The midianites had their kingdom in the westnorth of the Arabian Peninsula. The medianites, from Media were Mesopotamian people. The Median Kingdom was located in or around the fertile crescent region of the middle east. It was Darius the Median who stepped in and took the Kingdom when Balshazar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar, and took his kingdom, at least part of it, which was the Syrian Kingdom if memory serves me, and sharing it according to Daniels prophesy, with Persia.

What did god ask Gideon to do?

See Judges 7:5-7 quoted below. 5 So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the Lord told him, "Separate those who lap the water with their tongues as a dog laps from those who kneel down to drink." 6 Three hundred of them drank from cupped hands, lapping like dogs. All the rest got down on their knees to drink. 7 The Lord said to Gideon, "With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the others go home."

Who were the ancesters of the perizzites?

I have extensively studied the Patriarchal genealogy from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim texts (predominately from the Holy Bible), and there is no mention of the origins of the Perizzites. I've only studied from sources in which validity can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt; however, there are other ancient texts that may contain the answer - of which I have not studied because of their lack of proven validity. For instance, in the Pentateuch, Lot's daughters are only referred to as the Older and the Younger (their names are not given). Their names are given, however, in the Book of Jasher (an extra-biblical apocryphal text in which validity cannot be justified). One personal speculation that I can give you is: chances are, the father to the Perizzites had a name relating to Periz (which is a real name). I say this because we see many instances of this in the Pentateuch; for instance, Canaan is father to the Canannites, Sidon is father to the Sidonians, Jebus is father to the Jebusites, Amori is father to the Amorites, Girgash is father to the Girgashites, Philistim is father to the Philistines, Aram is father to the Arameans, Israel is father to the Israelites, Moab is father to the Moabites, Median is father to the Medianites, Midian is father to the Midianites, Amalek is father to the Amalekites, etc. (I can go on and on) You can see a common theme here in relation to the founder's name and the descendant's family name; however, this is not a fixed science. Though most of the names have this direct relationship, not all do. On the contrary, Hori is father to the Hivites, Heth is father to the Hitties, Esau is father to the Edomites, Ishmael is father to the Arabs, Ben-ammi is father to the Ammonites, etc. Basically, the Perizzites origins cannot be traced in valid texts. If you so choose, you can try to find their origins from other ancient texts - just because their validity cannot be proven, doesn't necessarily mean they are incorrect, it just means we can't prove that they are correct. I would recommend, checking extra-Bible/Quran/Torah apocryphal texts with the understanding that they may not be 100% correct or using the name Periz with the understanding that it is merely an educated guess. I wish I had a 100% positive answer for you, but it just doesn't exist in valid texts and I obviously wasn't alive when the Perizzites were, haha, so that's the best I can give you, sorry.

What year did Enoch live?

Enoch was Methuselah's father and Noahâ??s great grandfather. There are three apocryphal works attributed to Enoch. These detail how Enoch is ascended into heaven, put in charge of all the heavenly treasures and the archangels and was allowed to serve as a chief attendant to Godâ??s throne.
