Carole James, Leader of British Columbia's New Democratic Party (NDP), is the Leader of the Opposition in British Columbia's Legislative Assembly. As of summer, 2010, the NDP forms the Official Opposition, but will probably form BC's government after the next provincial election.
Her Majesty's Government for British Columbia is currently led by The Honourable Christy Clark, Premier of British Columbia and leader of the B.C. Liberal Party. As the premier does not currently have a seat in the province's Legislative Assembly (and therefore cannot attend sittings of the legislature), the Government is represented by The Honourable Michael de Jong M.L.A. (Abbotsford West), the Government House Leader.
Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition in British Columbia is currently led by Adrian Dix M.L.A. (Vancouver-Kingsway), the Leader of the Official Opposition and leader of the B.C. New Democratic Party.
Andrew Weaver M.L.A. (Oak Bay-Gordon Head) is the only member in the Legislative Assembly representing the B.C. Green Party. The party is led by Jane Sterk (who does not currently have a seat in the legislature). It should be noted that the B.C. Green Party does not have "official party" status (as they have less than four seats).
The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba is currently Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, led at the moment by Hugh McFadyenM.L.A. (Fort Whyte), the Leader of the Opposition.

The only parties currently represented in the House of Commons is the Conservative Party (Governing party), Liberal Party (official opposition), Bloc Quebecois, and New Democratic Party. The leaders of the opposition parties are Michael Ignatieff (Liberal), Jack Layton (NDP), and Gilles Duceppe (Bloc). However, although the Green Party of Canada is not represented in the House of Commons they are commonly viewed as an instrumental party. They are lead by Elizabeth May.
Stephen Harper the Prime Minister of Canada and is a member of the Conservative Party. The Conservative Party is not the opposition, it is the government. The phrase "Opposition party" can mean two things. First, it can mean any party in parliament other than the Prime Minister's party. That is, any party that opposes the Prime Minister.Second, it can mean the largest of those opposition parties. If you are talking about only the largest opposition party, you can say "the Official Opposition".Right now, there are three opposition parties. The Official Opposition (the largest opposition party) is the Liberal Party of Canada. The other two are the Bloc Quebecois and the New Democratic Party.
Aside from the New Democratic Party (the Official Opposition), the Conservative government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper is opposed by:Liberal Party (led by Bob Rae) - 34 seatsBloc Quebecois (no current leader) - 4 seatsGreen Party (led by Elizabeth May) - 1 seat

In most cases the same political parties will be found at both the federal and provincial levels of government. As to which party or parties form the provincial opposition, that will have to be determined on a province-by-province basis.
Other than parties and leaders that do not form the government there are none.
The largest party in opposition is called the "Official Opposition," officially known as "Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition." As a result of Canada's federal election of May 2, 2011, the New Democratic Party (NDP) now forms Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition. The Honourable Nycole Turmel, Leader of the NDP, is the Leader of the Opposition. The Liberal Party has been reduced to minority third party status and the Bloc Québéois, which elected only four members, has lost official party status.

There are two types of opposition parties in the House of Commons: Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition (sometimes referred to simply as the Official Opposition), and third opposition parties. The Official Opposition is thought of as a "Government-in-waiting", providing an alternative government to take over should the existing Government resign or be dismissed, with the Leader of the Official Opposition being an alternative prime minister.Third opposition parties are also responsible for holding the Government accountable, but are generally not thought of as a viable alternative government, and rarely have as much pre-eminence in Parliament as do the Official Opposition. (For example, the Official Opposition receives more time during question period than do the third opposition parties.)
Aside from the current ruling party, Canada also has oppositional parties and leaders as well. Provincial Canadian oppositional parties include the New Democratic Party (NDP) headed by Tom Mulcair. The Liberal Party of Canada is headed by Bob Ray, and the Bloc Quebecois is headed by Daniel Paille.
