Metro police released the identity of a woman found dead at a truck stop in East Nashville. The discovery has prompted police to consider whether there is a serial killer dumping bodies along Interstate 40. An employee at a Pilot truck stop in Lebanon found the body of 48-year-old Samantha Winters. Police said Winters had an arrest record for prostitution in Nashville. More dead bodies has been recovered around this area. This killer could have working since 2005.
FBI records attribute 24 serial killers from the Bluegrass state. If there are any active killers as this time is hard to determine since serial murder usually manifests as a series of killings over a period of time.
