she was not assassinated she dies at her house of a cerebral haemorrhage, however there were three assassination attempts that i know of, the golden jubilee plot and the ther two which was not named. The golden jubilee plot was later in her life it was where Irish anarchists planned to blow up westminister alley. The other was where a man by the name of William Hamilton attempted to alarm the queen by firing a pistol by her carriage at Constitution Hill there was no injury, the man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 7 years of penal transportation. The last one was in 1850 when an ex-army officer Robert Patte assaulted her and she did sustain injury. Pate struck her with his cane, crushing her bonnet and bruising her. Pate was later tried he failed to prove his insanity, and received the same sentence as Hamilton.
