The south benefited the most during the industrial revolution. The invention of the cotton gin made it faster and easier to remove seeds from the cotton. Cotton spinning machines that used steam to run helped factory workers increase their productivity.

Slave labor helped the southgrow cotton at a fast pace. This helped the economy in the south. Not just the south benefited from slaves but the north too. The south directly was helped by the slaves but indirectly helped the north too. See the more cotton that was made the more cloth produced from up north. This huge and successful era is called the industrial revolution.
