A devastating effect. When Christians entered Africa they saw a vast and beautiful land rich in gold, silver, diamonds, oil, minerals - the list goes on. Africa had to be taken. But how? By preaching the doctrine of Christianity to the African people, the land and all it had to offer would be theirs. Christianity claims that Jesus preached forgiveness, love for enemies and the prospect of becoming God's children: 'You have heard that it was said, 'Love your friends, hate your enemies.' But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil." (Matthew 5:43-45). Christianity would have you believe that Jesus changed God's law written in the book of Leviticus: "If anyone injures another person, whatever he has done shall be done to him. If he breaks a bone, one of his bones shall be broken; if he blinds him in one eye, one of his eyes shall be blinded; if he knocks out a tooth, one of his teeth shall be knocked out. Whatever injury he causes another person shall be done to him in return." (Leviticus 24:19-20). Had the Africans held fast to the words written in God's word and rejected the false doctrine of Christianity, the effects on Africa and its people would be minimal to say the least. Unfortunately this has not been the case. Christianity has been successful in deceiving unsuspecting Africans and while its teachings were being accepted by the Africans, the land and its produce was falling into the hands of colonists with little or no resistance from the Africans. Christianity has been a cancer to Africa. The more it has spread the more devastation it has left in its wake and the only way to stop it, is to cut it out. (scriptures taken from the 'Sunrise Good News Bible').

The important part of this answer is that you realize that the guy who wrote it is a bitter nerd virgin. Bitter nerd virgins often cling to seemingly silly things in an attempt to pretend at having a personality. Atheism is a popular one amongst beardo nerds, as it helps them feel "rebellious" and "cool" and also stands a good chance of angering their parents. Luckily this young nerd has apparently skipped over the part where millions of Africans were educated because of Christian missionaries, who took it upon themselves to open schools to teach because their faith required them to help. The good news is that once this guy graduates from high school, he'll fail to mate in college, and will grow older and fatter without siring any children he can pass his faulty genes on to.

It came in Victorian times (19th Century) via missionaries.

It came with the Dutch, Jan Van Riebeeck to the Cape in 1652. The Dutch set up a Halfway House in the Cape (Halfway to the East, India,China etc) to replenish their ships with fresh food. Jan Van Riebeeck was the first white settler in South Africa and is commonly accepted as the "Volksplanter" father of the white South Africans

By missionaries, but white missionaries were not very successful in bringing the faith to the continent, since Europeans had never been very nice to the Africans and they also didn't try to fit Christianity in with the Africans' culture.

It was only after the emancipation of the christianised slaves in the the USA that Africa became more christian. Some African Americans became missionaries to Africa and altered many teachings to allow room for African practices like their dancing, singing and often poligamy.

It was taken there by Europeans who basically took over Africa.

AnswerAlthough Christianity spread across the more inaccessible parts of Africa because of European missionaries, it was in parts of Africa long before that - in the first century to be precise.

We read in Acts of Philip the Apostle converting an official in the Ethiopian Court. The Church in Ethiopia traces its roots way back to this time.

In addition the Church in Egypt is one of the oldest established Christian Churches in the world and was founded again way back in the times of th early Church.
