Their forty-year journey in the wilderness 3300 years ago, during which they received God's Torah, built the Mishkan (Tabernacle), and began functioning as a nation...a nation of Torah.
The tabernacle (Mishkan), detailed in Exodus ch. 25-28 and constructed in the time of Moses, was carried with the people. Later, the Temple (Deuteronomy ch. 12) was built by King Solomon and stood for 410 years in the time of the prophets. After the first exile, the second Temple was built in the time of Ezra and stood 420 years. It was destroyed 1943 years ago.
